Help Build a Better Lugarno Public School
Lugarno Public School has recently formed the Lugarno Public School Building Fund and has been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
This means that if you make a donation of $2 or more to the Lugarno Public School Building Fund the donation will be tax deductible.
How You Can Get Involved
By combining our skills; experience and time we can achieve great things!
Contribute
Do a shift at the canteen; help out at a bbq; bake some cakes for a cake stall; help at a working bee; have a suggestion for a fundraiser; have a skill which would be helpful; own a business who may be able to donate a prize/voucher for a raffle. There are so many ways to contribute.
We have meetings at 7pm on the third Wednesday of the month (during school terms) in the school staff room and everyone is welcome to attend.
What We Do
Our parents are very involved in the school.
We have an active P&C who make a wonderful contribution to the school. We do this by volunteering our time and skills to get involved in class and school activities, run the school canteen, uniform shop and numerous fundraising activities.
Through our fundraising activities we can provide financial assistance to a number of school projects. In the past we have conducted community fairs, trivia nights, obstacle-a-thon, school discos and a bingo night. This year we also have an outdoor movie night which should be a wonderful evening.
Our parent volunteer program further develops positive and productive home/school partnerships.

Our School
Lugarno Public School is situated within a small peninsula community on the banks of the Georges River. The school has an expansive play area, beautifully maintained grounds and well-resourced classrooms

What is the Building Fund for?
The Lugarno Public School Building Fund will help with the construction, improvement and maintenance of school buildings at Lugarno. This will supplement the current school funding.
Some examples of how Lugarno Public School plans to use the funds donated to benefit the school:
- Refreshing the school with painting to school buildings and classrooms;
- New carpets in classrooms; and
- Upgrading the cola, library and computer rooms.
